Pursuant to authority conferred by RCW Chapter 36.63, laws of the state of Washington, there is hereby created a city planning commission.
Said commission shall consist of seven members, who shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council. The term of office of the seven commissioners appointed by the mayor shall be six years, but of the first seven appointed the term of one shall end on the second day of January, 1961, and the terms of the six others shall expire in rotation on the second day of January of each succeeding year. The terms of the first seven members appointed shall be fixed and designated by the mayor at the time of the appointment. Vacancies shall be filled as provided by Chapter RCW 35.63, laws of the state of Washington, and any acts pertaining thereto hereinafter enacted.
