Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36503.5 of the Government Code of the State of California, the City of San Juan Bautista’s general municipal election shall be held on the same day as the state-wide general election, as set forth in Section 2550 of the Elections Code of the State of California, the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November in each even-numbered year.
At the regular meeting in December of each year the City Council shall choose one of its members to serve as Mayor and one of its members to serve as Mayor Pro Tempore, each to serve until successors are chosen at the regular meeting in the following December.
