A. 
The office of the fire marshal is hereby established within the community development department to enforce the provisions of the International Fire Code, MCMC § 15.04.120, Chapters 15.06 and 15.08 MCMC, and such other building codes subsequently adopted or amended in MCMC Title 15.
B. 
The office of the fire marshal shall consist of a fire marshal designated by the city manager pursuant to MCMC § 15.08.020(L) and/or such other city employees, agents, or assistants, if any, as may be authorized by the city manager.

A. 
The city is authorized to collect fees for the services and duties performed by the fire marshal including, but not limited to, plan review, fire inspections, and operational permits.
B. 
The city shall set the fees annually by resolution or ordinance to recover the costs of fire marshal services and the city's administrative costs.
