Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise,
the meaning of terms used in these rules and regulations shall be
as follows:
The duly chartered municipality as represented by its Mayor
and Common Council.
Any person, firm, association, corporation or governmental
agency supplied or entitled to be supplied with water service for
compensation by the City of Hudson.
The organization of the City government charged with the
operation, extension, maintenance and management of the municipally
owned Water Department, and shall consist of a Commissioner, Superintendent
and such subordinate officers and employees as may be required.
All water piping on the premises.
The distribution line by which the water is distributed to
hydrants and consumer services.
Any approved device used for the purpose of measuring the
quantity of water delivered by the City of Hudson to the consumer.
The property served by one meter or one water service.
A main constructed and owned by the consumer.
The connections between the City of Hudson's mains and the
interior piping at the entrance to the premises, and shall include
all of the pipe, fittings and valves necessary to make the connection.
The Superintendent of the Department of Public Works of the
City of Hudson, or any officer duly authorized to act for the City
of Hudson, in the management and operation of the Department. Whenever
any power is possessed by, or any act or thing is to be done by, the
City of Hudson, the exercise of such power or the doing of such act
or thing by the Superintendent shall be in compliance with the terms
of these rules and regulations, unless by law some other officer of
the City of Hudson is required to act in the premises.
