A.
Within the City of Hudson, all water mains in dedicated streets shall be laid by and at the expense of the Department of Public Works. The work will be done either by contract or by direct labor and the purchase of the necessary supplies. Other mains in the City which will be connected to the water system shall be installed under the supervision and inspection of the Department of Public Works.

Outside the City of Hudson, after approval by proper authorities and execution of necessary agreements, cast-iron water main extensions for connection to the water system will be allowed.
C.
Cost of the construction outside the corporate limits of the City of Hudson shall be home in its entirety by the consumers of the political subdivision.
D.
If the work is in a public street or highway outside the City, the consumer shall contact the State, County or Town Highway Department office and obtain a permit from that office for the improvement. If in incorporated villages, permits shall be obtained from the proper authority.
E.
The water main extensions are to be made in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Public Works. Extension outside the City shall be under the supervision and inspection of the Department of Public Works.
F.
The Department of Public Works will inspect and accept all water mains before connecting to the system.
