The Huntingdon Valley Public Library (hereinafter called the
"library") is hereby authorized and designated as the library to act
for and on behalf of Lower Moreland Township (hereinafter called the
"Township") to provide a public library service to the residents and
taxpayers of the Township.
The person elected Treasurer of the Board of Library Directors
shall give bond to the Township with satisfactory surety in an amount
as said Board of Library Directors may determine.
The accounts of the Treasurer of said Library Board shall be
audited annually by the Township auditors as in the case of other
municipal expenditures.
The library shall provide free library service to the residents
and taxpayers of the Township subject to such reasonable rules and
regulations as the Board of Library Directors may adopt, as provided
for in Section 415 of the Library Code. Pursuant thereto, the Library Board may exclude from the
use of the library any person who willfully violates such rules. Said
Board may extend the privileges of the library to persons residing
outside the limits of the Township upon such terms and conditions
as the Library Board may prescribe.
The library and the Board of Directors thereof shall in all
ways comply with all provisions of the Library Code, whether hereinbefore set forth or otherwise, and all other
applicable laws.
