For reasons related to public health, safety and welfare and to facilitate
prompt emergency response, each building within the Incorporated Village of
Lindenhurst is to bear a house number which shall be the number allotted it
on a certain map filed for that purpose in the office of the Village Administrator
Clerk, and that such number shall be affixed to the house at or near the entrance
of the same and in such manner and of such size that it will be legible from
the street.
