Any person, entity, firm or corporation who violates,
disobeys, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement
of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation,
and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine of not more than
$250 or imprisonment of not more than 15 days, or both. Each day of
continuance of an offense shall be considered a separate offense.

Violation of written order. Any person who shall fail
to comply with a written order of the Code Enforcement Officer within
the time fixed for compliance therewith and any owner, builder, architect,
tenant, contractor, subcontractor or construction superintendent or
his agent or any other person taking part or assisting in the construction
or use of any building who shall violate any lawful order, notice,
directive, permit or certificate of the Code Enforcement Officer made
hereunder shall be punishable by a fine of no more than $1,000 or
imprisonment of not more than 15 days. Each day that a violation continues
beyond the date fixed in the order of the Town Code Enforcement Officer
to remedy the violation shall be deemed a separate offense.
In case any building, structure or use thereof
or use of land is in violation of this chapter, the Town Board may,
in addition to other remedies, institute any appropriate action or
proceeding to prevent such unlawful building, structure or use thereof
or such unlawful use of land.
