The Town Board, pursuant to Article 41, § 1660
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, restricts
and excludes from any portion of Town highways hereinafter designated
in the Town of Lockport any vehicle with a gross weight of over 10
tons.
A. This exclusion shall take effect upon the erection
of signs on Town highways designated as follows, from which such vehicles
are to be excluded:
(2) Dale Road to the Town Line Road.
(3) Day Road from Canal north to Newfane Town Line Road.
(7) Niagara Street Extension from Sunset to city line.
B. This exclusion shall remain in full force and effect
until the removal of the signs as directed by the Town Board.
The Superintendent of Highways of the Town of
Lockport shall be empowered by the Town Board to grant permits for
vehicles of a gross weight in excess of 10 tons on Town highways designated
above in the Town of Lockport when in his opinion such a permit is
justified.

A violation of this article shall constitute
a traffic infraction, and any person violating this article shall
be liable to a penalty as prescribed by § 1800 of the Vehicle
and Traffic Law.
