Traffic control signals shall be installed,
maintained and operated as follows:
A. A multiphased traffic control signal at the intersection
of Higby Road with Chapman Road consisting of the following:
(1) Two vehicular signal faces visible on each approach
of the intersection.
B. A flashing caution traffic control signal at the intersection
of Oneida Street and Roberts Road consisting of the following:
(1) Two vehicular signal faces visible on each approach
on Oneida Street, flashing caution.
(2) One flashing warning beacon light on Oneida Street
300 feet +/- south of the intersection.
(3) Two vehicular signal faces, flashing red, visible
on approach on Roberts Road.
C. A flashing school twenty-five-mile-per-hour speed
zone warning beacon light on Higby Road consisting of the following:
(1) Double vehicular face visible on each approach to
the Hughes Elementary School.
(2) Pretimed actuated traffic control signal (on 7:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) during school hours.
D. A semi-traffic-actuated traffic control signal at
the intersection of Oneida Street with Kellogg Road/Chapman Road consisting
of the following:
(1) Two vehicular signal faces visible on each approach
of the intersection.
(2) Green arrow on face directed toward Oneida Street
permitting exclusive left turn onto Kellogg Road.
(3) Green arrow on face directed toward Kellogg Road permitting
exclusive left turn onto Oneida Street.
(4) Green arrow on face directed toward Kellogg Road permitting
exclusive right turn onto Oneida Street.
(5) Green arrow on face directed toward Oneida Street
permitting exclusive right turn onto Kellogg Road.
(6) Vehicle detectors located on Chapman Road and Kellogg
Road 110 feet each side of the intersection.
(7) Vehicle detectors located on Oneida Street 120 feet
each side of the intersection.
E. A semi-traffic-actuated traffic control signal at
the intersection of Middlesettlement Road with Clinton Street consisting
of the following:
(1) Two vehicular signal faces visible on each approach
of the intersection.
(2) Vehicle detectors located on Middlesettlement Road
100 feet each side of the intersection.
(3) Vehicle detectors located on Clinton Street and the
driveway to Twin Orchards, 80 feet each side of the intersection.
(4) A flashing warning beacon light on Middlesettlement
Road 640 feet south of the intersection with Clinton Street.
F. A flashing signal at the intersection of Paris Road
and Jordan Road:

(1) Consisting of the following: one flashing signal face
directed towards each vehicular approach.
(2) Location: suspended over the roadway at the intersection.
(3) It shall display flashing red indications on all approaches
with all-way stop control in effect.
(4) Stop signs with supplemental R1-3 all-way signs shall
be installed on all approaches in conjunction with the flashing signal.
The Town of New Hartford does not have the authority
to establish speed limits (linear, area or school zones). This authority
rests solely with the New York State Department of Transportation
in accordance with Title 15 of Codes, Rules and Regulations of New
York State.
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of that established by the New York State Department of Transportation and as indicated in Schedule I (§
113-35), in the areas described in said Schedule I, during school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II (§
113-36), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
No person shall make a U-turn on any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule III (§
113-37), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn of the kind designated (left, right, all) at any of the locations described in Schedule IV (§
113-38), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop indication) at any of the locations described in Schedule V (§
113-39), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule VI (§
113-40), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as through streets. Traffic control devices shall be installed on each street intersecting the through street.
The intersections described in Schedule VII (§
113-41), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
The intersections described in Schedule VIII (§
113-42), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
Trucks in excess of the weights indicated are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule IX (§
113-43), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.

113-43.1), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets.
There is hereby established an alternate truck route system within the Town of New Hartford, consisting of the highways or parts thereof described in Schedule X (§
113-44) upon which all trucks, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations having a total gross weight in excess of five tons are permitted to travel.
