Consistent with Part 617 of Title 6 of the New York Codes, Rules and Regulations and the criteria therein listed, the following geographic area is determined to be a critical area of environmental concern by virtue of its exceptional or unique character: See Schedule A.[1]

In addition to the definition of Type II actions listed in Section 617.13 of the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act Rules and Regulations (6 NYCRR 617), the following shall be defined as Type II actions:

The granting of a building permit, certificate of compliance, certificate of occupancy or demolition permit for any one-family residential building or accessory building thereto not located in a town or state wetland, flood hazard area or the Bedford Historic District.
