There is hereby established a Joint Use Committee for the Borough of Cresskill, which shall function for the protection and development of parks and recreational areas.
A. 
The Committee shall consist of seven members who shall be appointed by the Mayor and Council. All such members shall be residents of the Borough and/or members of the Cresskill Board of Education.
B. 
The members shall designate one of them to serve as Chairman and presiding officer of the Committee.
All members of the Committee shall serve without compensation.
A. 
The term of office shall be for one year.
B. 
The governing body may remove any member of the Committee for cause, on written charges served upon the member and after a hearing thereon, at which time the member shall be entitled to be heard in person or by counsel.
C. 
A vacancy on the Committee occurring otherwise than by expiration of a term shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as an original appointment.
A. 
The Joint Use Committee shall have power to conduct research into the use or possible use of the open land areas of the Borough and may coordinate the activities of unofficial bodies organized for similar purposes.
B. 
The Joint Use Committee shall keep records of its meetings and activities and shall make an annual report to the governing body of the Borough.
C. 
The Mayor and Council of the Borough may appropriate funds for the expenses incurred by the Joint Use Committee.
D. 
The Joint Use Committee shall have power to study and make recommendations concerning open space preservation, use and development.
