The purpose of this chapter is to authorize certain public servants
of the Town of Philipstown to issue and serve appearance tickets in connection
with violations of state statutes, local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations
of the town which the public servants are authorized or required to enforce.

The following public servants of the Town of Philipstown are hereby
authorized to enforce and to issue and serve appearance tickets with respect
to violations of the state statutes, local laws, ordinances, rules or regulations
set forth below:
A.Â
The Building Inspector and/or any Deputy or Assistant
Building Inspector and/or any Zoning Administrative Officer and/or any Deputy
or Assistant Zoning Administrative Officer and/or any Enforcement Officer
or Deputy or Assistant Enforcement Officer:
B.Â
The Highway Superintendent and/or any Deputy or Assistant
Highway Superintendent:
The authority granted herein is in addition to the authority granted
to any public servant of the Town of Philipstown under any other statute,
local law, ordinance, rule or regulation and is not intended to curtail, replace
or supersede any authority given in any other such legislation or grant of
authority.[1]

An appearance ticket other than for a parking violation shall be served
personally.
