The terms used in this chapter shall have the same meanings as in N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.1 et seq.

A. 
Every person who shall own, possess, keep or harbor any dog or dogs, either male or female (and the word "dog" when hereinafter used shall be deemed to include male or female), within the Township shall obtain an annual license for each such dog and shall have the same registered and numbered with the Municipal Clerk and for each such dog license shall pay fees for the following as provided in Chapter 109, Fees:
(1) 
Annual license fee.
(2) 
Fee for nonspayed or nonneutered dogs. In addition to the fees provided for above, there shall be an additional surcharge on all licenses issued for dogs of reproductive age for which there is not filed a veterinarian certificate or notarized affidavit by the owner that the dog has been spayed or neutered as required by state law.
(3) 
Late fee. If application for a license is received after January 31 of any year, in addition to the annual license fee, there shall be a surcharge plus a monthly fee for each month thereafter for which a license is not obtained.
B. 
Guide dogs and service dogs as defined in N.J.S.A. 10:5-5 shall be licensed and registered as other dogs hereinabove provided for, except that the owner or keeper of such dog shall not be required to pay any fee therefor.

C. 
All dogs born within the Township or brought therein shall be licensed as required by this chapter when the dog obtains the age of seven months or possesses a set of permanent teeth, whichever first occurs. No written or verbal notice or warning shall be required to the owner, keeper or possessor of any dog to make the requirement for licensing applicable and effective.
D. 
A dog temporarily placed in a foster home as part of a formalized training to be a guide dog or service dog shall not be required to be licensed and registered while the dog remains in the foster home for such training.

No person may keep, harbor, or maintain on a residential property on six acres or less more than three dogs, and not more than six dogs on a residential property of more than six acres.
Any person who harbors, keeps or possesses any dog for a period of 15 days or more shall, for the purposes of this chapter, be deemed to be the owner of the dog or dogs so harbored or possessed.

A. 
All applications for dog licenses for dogs owned prior to February 1 in any year shall be made and the license fee paid on or before that day to the Municipal Clerk, who shall register the harboring, owning or possessing of any dogs and the number thereof and the name of each dog registered and the number of the license issued for it in a book to be kept for that purpose. Any person who becomes the owner of a dog or dogs after February 1 shall, within 10 days from the date he/she obtained ownership thereof, make application for a license and pay the license fee for the then current year to the Municipal Clerk. No license shall be issued unless the application is accompanied by a certificate issued by a veterinarian or municipal clinic, which certificate shall certify that the dog is currently immunized against the disease of rabies.

B. 
Upon receipt of the application and license fee, the Municipal Clerk shall issue a license for the keeping of such dog or dogs, which license shall state the name and address of the owner of such dog, the dog's name, breed, sex and markings and the number of such license.
C. 
All such licenses shall expire on February 1 of the following calendar year.
D. 
The Municipal Clerk shall issue to the licensee a numbered metal tag for each dog licensed, which tag shall have marked thereon the words, "Licensed Dog, Township of Robbinsville," with the year for which it is issued, together with the number of the license, which tag shall be securely attached by the licensee to the collar of the dog so licensed.
A. 
License required; fees. All persons who engage in the business of, own, operate or maintain what are commonly known as "dog kennels" and/or who engage in the business of raising or breeding or dealing in dogs or who keep, board or harbor dogs for hire may, in lieu of registering separately each of the dogs kept, owned, harbored or boarded, make application to the Municipal Clerk for a kennel license. The license shall cover the ownership or possession of any number of dogs. The annual license fees for kennel and pet shop licenses shall be as provided in Chapter 109, Fees.

B. 
Such license, as well as the Municipal Clerk's record of its issuance, shall show the payment of the fee therefor, specifying the amount, the date of issuance, the name of the person to whom issued and his or her address and the number of dogs to be covered.
Any and all moneys received by the Municipal Clerk shall be turned over by him/her to the Chief Financial Officer monthly.
