The purpose of this chapter is to control and regulate the manner, method
and frequency of garage sales, yard sales and basement sales or similar type
activities in order to promote the safety, public health, convenience and
general welfare of the community.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings
indicated:
BASEMENT SALE
Any sale of goods, new or used, from or at a residential location
by the owner of the premises or anyone acting with the owner's permission
or on the owner's behalf.
GARAGE SALE
Any sale of goods, new or used, from or at a residential location
by the owner of the premises or anyone acting with the owner's permission
or on the owner's behalf.
PERSON
An individual, partnership, corporation or other legal entity.
RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY
Property used for human habitation, including but not limited to:

A.
Private property used for human habitation.
B.
Commercial living accommodations and commercial property used for human
habitation.
C.
Recreational and entertainment property used for human habitation.
D.
Community service property used for human habitation.
YARD SALE
Any sale of goods, new or used, from or at a residential location
by the owner of the premises or anyone acting with the owner's permission
or on the owner's behalf.

No person shall conduct a garage sale, yard sale or basement sale or
similar activity from any residential property more frequently than twice
yearly on the same premises.
The provisions of this chapter shall be administered and enforced by
the Zoning Officer and/or by the members of the Township Police Department.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be liable to the penalty stated in Chapter
1, Article
II, General Penalty.
