A.
There shall be a Department of Public Safety which shall include the Division of Fire Suppression, Division of Fire Prevention, Division of Police, Office of Emergency Management, First Aid and Rescue Squads and Domestic Violence Response Team. The Chief of Police may serve as the Director of Public Safety.
B.
The Director of Public Safety shall be responsible for the coordination of all of the safety divisions as described above. He shall prepare a budget, oversee the orderly operations of each unit and perform such other duties as directed to from time to time by the Mayor and Council.
