A.
There is hereby created and established a Village
of Ossining Police Community Relations Advisory Council.
B.
The purpose of the Police Community Relations Advisory
Council shall be to assist the Police Department in meeting the needs
of the community and the community in meeting the needs of the Police
Department.
C.
The Council shall consist of not more than 19 members.
Not more than 17 voting members to be appointed by the Board of Trustees
for a term not to exceed three years. A voting member shall reside,
work or have a place of business in the Village of Ossining. The Mayor
and one Trustee to be selected by the Board of Trustees shall serve
as nonvoting members of the Council.
D.
The members Police Community Relations Advisory shall
adopt bylaws for its operation which shall be consistent with the
purposes of the Council and which shall be ratified by resolution
of the Board of Trustees.
