The Township Engineer shall receive from the Township a retainer set forth by contract and established by the Salary Ordinance. In addition, he or she shall receive fees for services rendered by him or her to the Township Committee in accordance with the normal and customary professional fees charged by licensed engineers within the state and established by contract. The Township Engineer shall also receive fees from applicants and developers who are required by ordinance and/or law to establish a developer’s escrow with the Township. All charges and fees shall be paid only upon submission of an itemized invoice for service and approval of a voucher submitted therewith. Within 30 days of the conclusion of each year, the Township Engineer shall make a written report to the Township Committee, which shall include the total amount of fees collected during said term of appointment and detail any outstanding charges and fees due and owing.
