Township of South Hackensack, NJ Parking, Standing and Stopping

§ 205-18 Regulations not exclusive.

The provisions of this article imposing a time limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.

§ 205-19 Parking prohibited at all times on certain streets.

No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any streets or parts of streets thereof described:

§ 205-20 No stopping or standing at any time on certain streets.

No person shall stop or stand a vehicle at any time on any day upon any of the streets or parts of streets described:

§ 205-21 Commercial vehicles parking prohibited during certain hours.

No person shall park a registered commercial vehicle between the hours specified of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described:

§ 205-22 Stopping or standing prohibited during certain hours on certain streets.

No person shall stop or stand a vehicle between the hours specified on any day upon any of the streets or parts of streets described:

§ 205-23 Parking time limited on certain streets.

No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit between the hours listed on any day (except Sundays and public holidays) upon any of the streets or parts of streets described:

§ 205-24 Loading zones.

The locations described are hereby designated as loading zones. No person shall park a vehicle in said location during the times indicated other than for the loading or unloading of goods and materials.

§ 205-25 Control for movement and parking of traffic on public and private property.

Regulation for the movement and the parking of traffic on municipal property and Board of Education property. In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-197, the following municipal and Board of Education property shall have the movement of traffic controlled by the type of regulation indicated. No person shall operate or park a vehicle in violation of the regulations indicated.

(1)

Property. Municipal Complex, 227 Phillips Avenue, South Hackensack. Regulation:

(a)

General parking.

All vehicles must park in designated areas and between the lines provided.

No person shall stop or stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described below, except in areas covered by other parking restrictions:

Within the six marked parking places so designated by signs along the northerly side of the lot, police cars only.

[b]

Within the one marked parking place so designated by sign on the southerly side of the lot, only the vehicle of the Fire Prevention Chief.

[c]

Within the four marked parking places so designated by signs along the westerly side of the parking lot, only the vehicles of the Township Clerk, Township Treasurer, Township Tax Collector and the Township Court Administrator as such signs respectively designate.

[d]

Within the one marked parking place adjacent to and south of the easterly entry to the parking lot as designated by sign, only the vehicle of the Township Chief of Police.

[e]

Within the six marked parking places, the entry to which from Franklin Street is in common with the entry to the garage for the ambulance, only the vehicles of any members of the Ambulance Corps of the Township of South Hackensack while such members are actively engaged in their official duties.

[f]

Within any other marked parking place, only the vehicles of persons lawfully engaged in business or activity within the Township Hall while such persons are so engaged.

Regulation for the movement and the parking of traffic on municipal park property. In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:5A-4, the regulations of Subtitle 1, Title 39 of the Revised Statutes are hereby made applicable to the properties listed below:

Property: Veterans Park, Phillips Avenue South Hackensack, NJ. Regulation:

Regulation for the movement and the parking of traffic on private property open to the public and to which the public is invited (retail business). In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A, 40:48-2.46, the following private property that is open to the public and to which the public is invited, the movement of traffic shall be controlled by the regulations listed herein, No person shall operate or park a vehicle in violation of the following regulations.

Regulation for the movement and the parking of traffic on all other private property. In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:5A-1, the regulations of Subtitle 1, Title 39 of the Revised Statutes are hereby made applicable to the properties listed below.

Regulation for the movement and the parking of traffic on United States Post Office property. In accordance with 40 U.S.C. § 318B and a written request from the Postmaster, the following various traffic regulations are hereby made applicable to the properties listed below as follows. No person shall operate or park a vehicle in violation of the regulations listed below.

Signs, pavement markings, installation and maintenance. The owners of the premises referred to in Subsections A, B, C, D, E and F shall provide and install signs and pavement markings as required, which signage and markings shall be in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways. The cost for the procurement and installation of signs and pavement markings shall be the responsibility of the owner of said property. The owner shall, subsequent to initial procurement and installation, maintain such signs and pavement markings in good condition at no cost or expense to the Township of South Hackensack. The owner shall be responsible for the repair and restoration or replacement of same.

§ 205-26 Bus stops.

The locations described are hereby designated as bus stops. No vehicle other than an omnibus, picking up or discharging passengers, shall be permitted to occupy said location between the hours indicated.

Along Huyler Street, northbound, on the easterly side thereof at:

North Street (mid-block): beginning 321 feet north of the northerly curbline of North Street and extending 135 feet northerly therefrom.

East Wesley Street (near side): beginning at the southerly curbline of East Wesley Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

Hoffman Street (near side): beginning at the southerly curbline of Hoffman Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

Michael Street (near side): beginning at the southerly curbline of Michael Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.

Along Huyler Street, southbound, on the westerly side thereof at:
