The Township Manager and Township Secretary
are authorized to receive and open all mail addressed to the Board
and give it immediate attention to the end that all administrative
business referred to in such communications and not necessarily requiring
Board action may be disposed of between Board meetings, provided that
all actions taken pursuant to such communications shall be reported
to the Board thereafter. Any written communication addressed to the
Board shall be distributed to the Board.

When any member or members of the Board are
appointed by the President to represent the Township on county, area,
district or state boards, committees or commissions, such appointed
member or members shall be the duly authorized representatives and
spokesmen for the Board on or before such bodies. No other member
of the Board shall speak on behalf of the Board or hold himself/herself
out to represent the Board before such bodies under penalty of public
censure by a majority vote of the entire Board. Nothing herein shall
prevent a Board member from appearing before such body as a private
citizen.

A. Term. Those persons appointed by the Board of Commissioners
to serve on committees, boards and commissions of the Township shall
serve for their designated term and until their successors are duly
appointed and qualified.
B. Removal from office. Any member of a committee, board
or commission appointed by the Board of Commissioners, once appointed
and qualified, may be removed from office for malfeasance, misfeasance
or nonfeasance in office or for other just cause by a majority vote
of the Board of Commissioners taken after the member has received
15 days advance notice of the intent to take such a vote. A hearing
shall be held in connection with the vote if the member shall request
it in writing. Any appointment to fill a vacancy created by removal
shall be only for the unexpired term.
