Whoever proposes to place or install or alter gas appliances or gas
piping or appurtenances thereto shall be subject to the rules and regulations
as specified in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fuel Gas Code promulgated
in accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 25, § 12H, and
any amendments thereto.
Said Code and any penalties thereunder shall be administered and enforced
by the Gas Inspector of the Town of Barnstable who shall be appointed by the
Town Manager annually in June, to hold office from the first of July following
for the term of one year or until his successor has been appointed and qualified.

96-1 shall be made except upon application for and issuance of an appropriate permit by the Gas Inspector at a fee as provided in Chapter
76, Fees, Article
II, Schedule of Fees. All reinspections shall be subject to a fee for each inspection as provided in the Schedule of Fees.
