All biologicals, drugs and pharmaceutical preparations must be adequately refrigerated if required and properly dispensed in containers prescribed by the latest edition of the United States Pharmacopeia, National Formulary and as recommended by the manufacturers of such products.
No food or beverages are permitted in refrigerators in which biologicals, drugs and pharmaceutical preparations are stored.
The Health Officer shall place an embargo on any product suspected of being adulterated or misbranded within the meaning of the Pure Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
All pharmaceutical equipment and containers used in the compounding of prescriptions and of pharmaceutical preparations must be kept clean and stored in such manner as to be protected from dirt, dust and filth.
There shall be provided at least one separate room properly ventilated and provided with toilet facilities, washbasin and single-service towels.
An adequate sink with hot (at least 120° F.) and cold running water must be provided in every establishment.
All drug and patent medicine stores must be properly lighted and ventilated and kept clean.
No sleeping room nor any living quarters of any tenement, apartment or other dwelling shall be directly connected with a drug or patent medicine store without the approval of this Board.
