City of Mount Vernon, NY Article VI Issuance by Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Plumbing, Housing Inspectors, Building Inspectors, Elevator/Building Inspectors and Code Enforcement Officers

§ 7-9 Authorization to issue tickets.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law and Chapter 495 of the Laws of 1978, as amended,[1] the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Plumbing, Housing Inspectors, Building Inspectors, Elevator/Building Inspectors and Code Enforcement Officers of the Mount Vernon Building Department, Public Works, Planning Department, Fire Department and Police Department are hereby authorized to issue appearance tickets for:

A. All violations of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.

B. All violations of the Building Code of the City of Mount Vernon.

C. All violations of the Zoning Code of the City of Mount Vernon.[2]
