All trash and garbage collected within or without the Township of Cranbury
shall be disposed of by the sanitary landfill or incinerator method in accordance
with the standards for the design, operation and maintenance of sanitary landfills
and incinerators contained in the State Sanitary Code.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, association of persons
or corporation to deposit, throw, spill or dispose of dirt, ashes, papers
or other materials upon any street or highway or portion thereof or cause
or permit the same to be done.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, association of persons
or corporation to dispose of or cause to be disposed of at any place within
the geographical limits of the Township of Cranbury, except at such sanitary
landfill disposal area as may be hereinafter designated, any garbage, trash,
waste or refuse of any nature whatsoever.
The boundaries of the said sanitary landfill disposal area shall be
posted, designating the area which comprises said sanitary landfill disposal
area.
Except as hereinafter set forth, the disposal of any carcasses of any
dead animals or dead fowl or parts thereof; any tree stumps or other portion
of trees; sewage of any kind or description; debris from building construction
or demolition; furniture; junk cars or parts or portions of cars, including
tires; refrigerators, washing machines or other large appliances or bulky
items; farm produce residue; or any chemical residue or industrial production
waste shall be absolutely prohibited in said sanitary landfill disposal area.
The Township may, on certain publicly advertised cleanup dates, permit the
disposal of such bulky items as refrigerators, washing machines, furniture
and other large appliances in specifically designated areas of said sanitary
landfill in accordance with regulations to be promulgated governing the same.
The privilege of disposal on the aforesaid sanitary landfill disposal
area of Cranbury Township shall be limited to residents of the Township of
Cranbury, and no garbage, trash or refuse of any nature whatsoever emanating
from outside the Township of Cranbury shall be permitted to be disposed of
therein, nor shall any chemical residue or industrial production waste, whether
emanating from within or without the Township of Cranbury, be permitted to
be disposed of therein. Anything in this section to the contrary notwithstanding,
the same shall not be construed as to prevent the disposal of garbage, trash
or ordinary refuse, as distinguished from industrial production waste by any
industry operating within the Township of Cranbury. For purposes of this chapter, "industrial
production waste" is defined as the materials, by-products or residue remaining
after completion of the manufacturing or production process.
