There is hereby created the position of Secretary to Municipal Alliance Coordinator for the Borough of Lavallette.
The duties of the Secretary to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall include, but not be limited to:
A. 
Assisting a Municipal Alliance Coordinator by performing administrative stenographic and clerical work.
B. 
Under direction from the Municipal Alliance Coordinator, supervising his or her clerical work in the office.
C. 
Taking and transcribing dictation consisting of letters, memoranda and statements of the most difficult, complex and technical nature.
D. 
Assisting the Municipal Alliance Coordinator in the formulation of effective policies and procedures for the office and other clerical operations of the department.
E. 
Preparing administrative correspondence, memoranda and statements.
F. 
Performing related work as required.
To be appointed to the position of Secretary to Municipal Alliance Coordinator, an individual must meet the following requirements:
A. 
Possess a thorough knowledge of modern office methods, practices and equipment.
B. 
Possess the ability to perform highly complex typing and stenographic tasks.
C. 
Be capable of preparing and supervising the preparation of statistical and other reports containing findings, conclusions and recommendations, and have the capability to establish and maintain records and files.
D. 
Possess the ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
E. 
Possess the ability to comprehend established office and other clerical and related routines and rules and regulations of complexity in a relatively large organization.
F. 
Possess good health and freedom from disabling physical and mental defects which would impair the proper performance of the required duties or which might endanger the health and safety of oneself or others. Persons with mental or physical disabilities are eligible as long as they can perform the essential functions of the job after reasonable accommodation is made to their known limitations. If the accommodation cannot be made because it would cause the employer undue hardship, such person may not be eligible.
The salary for the part-time position of the Secretary to Municipal Alliance Coordinator shall be determined from time to time by the governing body and shall be paid in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Salary Ordinance[1] of the Borough of Lavallette. Said position shall also be funded by a grant from the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.
