City of Latrobe, PA Chapter 34 Purchasing

§ 34-1 Authority to participate in state contracts.

Latrobe takes cognizance of the fact that Act 31 of 1971, effective July 9, 1971,[1] permits political subdivisions to purchase materials, supplies and equipment from purchase contracts entered into by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services.

§ 34-2 Desire to participate in state contracts.

Latrobe does hereby express its desire to participate in such purchase contracts as are enumerated in § 34-1 of this chapter.

§ 34-3 Request for authorization to participate; conditions.

Latrobe does hereby request the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services, that Latrobe be authorized to participate in purchase contracts of the Department; and further, that Latrobe does hereby agree that it will be bound by such terms and conditions as the Department may prescribe; and further, that Latrobe will be responsible for payment directly to the vendor under each purchase contract.

§ 34-4 Request for authorization to participate in contracts of other state departments.

If any other administrative department of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is hereafter authorized to make direct purchases of materials, supplies and equipment, Latrobe does hereby respectfully request that such administrative agencies likewise allow Latrobe to participate in such purchase contracts entered into by said agencies.

§ 34-5 Basis for determination of price.

It is hereby understood that all prices to be paid by Latrobe under this program shall be free on board (F.O.B.) Latrobe.

§ 34-6 Authority to sign documents, contracts and agreements.

All proper Latrobe officials are authorized to sign whatever documents, contracts or agreements are necessary to expedite the provisions of this chapter.
