An applicant for a building permit for a new
residential dwelling shall provide, as a part of the application for
said permit, a water quality test on a private residential well installed
on the premises pursuant to a well permit issued by the appropriate
authority in accordance with the requirements of the Public Health
Code and other regulations issued by the Commissioner of Public Health
indicating that no maximum contaminant level applicable to public
water supply systems for any contaminant listed in the Public Health
Code has been exceeded.
The results of all required water tests shall
be filed with the Director of Health, and all tests required by this
article shall be conducted by a laboratory approved by the Commissioner
of Public Health.
