As used in this article, the following terms
shall have the meaning indicated:
TWO-FAMILY DWELLING
A single structure containing two separate family dwelling
units each having both a kitchen and bathroom.

The intent of this regulation is to allow the
construction of two-family dwellings for the purpose of, but not limited
to, providing rental housing for the elderly, single persons, or small
families. This regulation is designed to ensure that in creating two-family
dwellings the density of dwelling units is not increased and groundwater
supplies are protected.
A two-family dwelling may be permitted in the
Rural Residence District, provided that it also complies with all
applicable state and Town ordinances, codes and regulations as well
as the following standards.
