An independent auditor for the Borough of Ephrata shall be appointed
annually by the Borough Council before the close of the fiscal year.
The independent auditor shall be a certified public accountant, registered
in Pennsylvania, or a firm of certified public accountants, so registered.
The independent auditor shall make an examination of the accounting
records of the borough and file such reports and perform all duties and exercise
the powers provided for in the Borough Code and other applicable statutes
and laws related thereto.
The compensation of the independent auditor shall be determined by Council
and paid out of borough funds.
