The Borough Council of the Borough of Media hereby signifies its intention and desire to organize a Parking Authority under the provisions of the Parking Authority Law of 1947, as amended.[1]

The President and the Secretary of the Borough Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the Borough of Media, Articles of Incorporation for said Authority, in substantially the following form:
ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
TO THE SECRETARY OF THE COMMONWEALTH,
COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA
In compliance with the requirements of the Act of June 5, 1947, P.L. 458, known as the "Parking Authority Law," as amended,[1] the Borough of Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, desiring to incorporate an Authority thereunder, does hereby certify:
1.
The name of the Authority is "Media Parking Authority."
2.
Said Authority is formed under the provisions of the Act of June 5, 1947, P.L. 458, as amended.
3.
The name of the incorporating municipality is the Borough of Media, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
4.

The proper officers of the Borough of Media are hereby directed to cause this chapter to be published as required by law but setting forth only briefly the substance of the proposed Articles of Incorporation, as permitted by Section 4 of the Parking Authority Law, as amended.[1]

The proper officers of the Borough of Media are hereby directed to cause a notice of the proposed filing of the above Articles of Incorporation to be published once in the Delaware County Law Reporter and once in a newspaper published and of general circulation in Delaware County, as required by Section 4 of the Parking Authority Law, as amended.[1]

The President and Secretary of the Borough Council are directed to file said Articles of Incorporation, together with the necessary proof of publication, with the Secretary of the commonwealth and to do all other acts and things necessary or appropriate to effect the incorporation of the Media Parking Authority.

Members of the Board of the Authority shall be appointed by the President of the Borough Council for five-year terms.
