Any owner of real estate within the Township of Brick may apply for a seasonal beach parking permit for the purpose of parking at Municipal Beach Parking Lots A and B. A total of 85 seasonal beach parking permits shall be issued annually for Lot A. Lot A is located adjacent to Municipal Beach III. An additional 20 seasonal beach parking permits shall be issued annually for Lot B. Lot B is located adjacent to Municipal Beach I. The application shall indicate that the applicant is seeking a permit for Lot A or Lot B.
Any person filing an application for a seasonal beach parking permit shall submit an application to the Municipal Clerk. A seasonal parking permit permitting parking 24 hours a day, seven days a week in Lot A and Lot B shall cost $175. The parking permit fee shall be payable at the time the application is submitted.
Parking permits shall be required for parking in Lot A and Lot B from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Parking lot permit holders shall be permitted to park 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Township reserved the right to revoke any permit for cause.
A. 
All permits shall be issued pursuant to a lottery system. Applications for a permit will be accepted beginning March 1 of the application year and shall be accepted through the last business day of April. A lottery shall be held by the Township Clerk to determine the successful applicants. All unsuccessful applicants shall receive a full refund of the application fee within 30 days from the Township Treasurer. The Chief Financial Officer of the Township of Brick shall hereby be authorized to make such refunds posted by unsuccessful applicants to the lottery. The funds shall be released upon written authorization of the Chief Financial Officer.

In the event that applications are not received for the full number of spaces available, a second lottery shall be held to determine the distribution of those remaining parking permits.
The Business Administrator, or his designee, shall be hereby authorized to issue overnight parking permits in special circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

A maximum of one permit application shall be accepted annually from any one individual, unless the applicant is successful in a round-two lottery, in which case more than one permit may be issued.

All vehicles shall park in designated spots. All permits shall be valid for motor vehicles only and shall not be used for the parking of trailers and/or boats.

Any vehicle, trailer or boat parked in violation of the provisions of this section shall be subject to towing and the owner shall be subject to the penalties in § 110-28.
Violations of the provisions of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, § 1-15, General penalty.
