A.
All sidewalks installed within the Village shall be concrete unless otherwise approved by the Board of Trustees.
B.
Sidewalks shall be a minimum of four feet in width, matching width and elevation to adjacent sidewalks (in accordance with ADA requirements). The concrete used shall be 4,000 pounds per square inch strength with an air entrainment of 6% to 7%. The sidewalk shall be four inches thick except at driveways, where it shall be six inches thick.[1]
C.
Costs.
(1)
New construction in a subdivision shall be completely at the expense of the developer and will be a condition of subdivision approval unless sidewalk construction is waived at the request of the developer.
(2)
If new sidewalk construction is not in a subdivision, property owners will be responsible for 50 percent of the total cost of installation, including applicable overheads.
(3)
If the sidewalk is existing and it is the Village's choice to repair or replace, the total cost will be borne by the Village of Springville.
(4)
If sidewalk repair or replacement is requested by 51% of the property owners on a street, the Village of Springville and all property owners will equally share the cost of said repair or replacement.
