As used in this chapter, the word "person" shall be construed
to mean any natural person, association, partnership, firm, organization
or corporation. The singular shall include the plural, the plural
shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine
and neuter.
The following conduct and activity is prohibited and unlawful:
A. The Township parks are open from sunup to sundown throughout the
year, except for special events authorized by Skippack Township. No
persons are permitted on the park property unless the park is open.
B. Fires are not permitted except in approved areas. All fires must
be extinguished prior to leaving the picnic area.
C. No person shall cut, mutilate, or remove any tree, shrub, flower
or other park property.
D. No person shall deface, mar, or otherwise damage any park property.
E. No person shall consume, sell, distribute, or transport alcoholic
beverages or drugs or other controlled substances upon park property.
F. No person shall engage in unruly, indecent, boisterous, or disorderly
behavior, or in any activity which would endanger human health.
G. Hunting/trapping is not permitted on park property at any time.
H. Fireworks are not permitted on park property; except as approved
by Township.
I. Littering is not permitted. All refuse, trash and rubbish shall be
removed from the park or placed in park receptacles provided for that
purpose.
J. No motorized vehicles are permitted except in designated parking
areas.
K. Pets are prohibited from all parks/parkland unless attended and controlled
by a leash. The individual in charge of an animal shall possess proper
implements for the gathering and disposing of pet waste. All pet waste
shall be collected immediately by the individual in charge of the
animal, not buried, and shall be disposed of properly.
The Township's Code Enforcement Officer shall have the
authority and power to issue citations and/or criminal complaints
in order to prosecute those in violations of this chapter.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter (except for the parking prohibitions in §
128-2J), shall, upon conviction by the District Justice, within the magisterial district of which the Township is a part, pay a fine of not more than $1,000, and upon default and payment of the fine and costs of prosecution, be imprisoned in the county jail for a period of not more than 10 days.
