It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot, fire or discharge any gun, pistol, air gun, or firearm of any description; any squib, rocket, cracker or mixture of gunpowder; any dynamite or any explosive whatsoever within the corporate limits of the Town of St. Michaels except as permitted in the Agriculture Zone as more fully described in Chapter
197, Hunting.

A. Blank ammunition firing of historic weapons that are a part of a
planned educational demonstration or interpretation of an historic
or heritage celebration. Said demonstration program requires written
permission in advance from the St. Michaels Chief of Police. Said
blank ammunition firing demonstrations shall conform to the Maryland
Park Service Standards for Historic Weapons Use blank ammunition regulations.
B. Definition. "Blank ammunition firing is a type of firearm cartridge
that contains gunpowder but no projectile (e.g., bullet or shot),
and instead uses paper or plastic wadding to seal the propellant into
the casing.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter
shall, on conviction therefor, be fined not more than $1,000 together
with the costs of prosecution.
