There shall be appointed by this Board a duly
qualified person as an Inspector of Plumbing, who shall serve as an
Inspector of Plumbing for this Board.
It shall be the duty of the Inspector of Plumbing to inspect all buildings while in the course of construction in the Town of West New York, or in the course of reconstruction or alteration of any kind, so that the plumbing, drainage and ventilation of sewers, soil and waste pipes, and fixtures thereof, conform to the requirements of Chapter
290, Plumbing, and he shall promptly notify the contractor, owner or agent of any violation of the same.
He shall sign and issue notices and certificates of inspection and approval required by this chapter; he shall keep a daily record of the work in his office, such as application certificates and permits, and all violations of Chapter
290, Plumbing, he shall keep a correct record of all moneys, with stub receipts, in a book for that purpose and shall report and turn over all moneys at every meeting of this Board; and he shall submit an annual report to this Board at the last meeting in December of each year.
He shall examine promptly all plans and specifications
filed in his office for proposed plumbing and house drainage work
and, if approved according to the Plumbing Code, file them and enclose
thereon the date and the number of the application and index them
in a book for that purpose.
All appointees of this Board, such as the Sanitary
Health and the Plumbing Inspector, shall be subject to the state laws
and the supplements thereto approved.
