The existence of slaughterhouses within the City limits and the carrying on of the business of slaughtering animals at such places is a nuisance and prejudicial to public health, and the business of slaughtering animals within the City limits and the keeping and maintaining of any slaughterhouse within the City limits is absolutely prohibited and forbidden.
