Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, in this chapter,
the following terms have the meanings indicated.
The residue from the burning of wood, coal, coke, or other combustible
materials for the purpose of heating or cooking.
A person who engages in the collection of garbage, rubbish, or ashes
in Queen Anne's County.
Queen Anne's County exclusive of any incorporated municipality.
The Department of Public Works for Queen Anne's County.
The Director of Public Works for Queen Anne's County or the Director's
authorized deputy, agent, or representative.
Garbage, rubbish, or ashes.
Nonputrescible solid waste not included in garbage or ashes consisting
of both combustible and noncombustible waste, such as paper, cardboard, tin
cans, yard clippings, wood, glass, and similar materials.
"Rubbish" does not include building rubbish or other materials from
building construction or reconstruction, stones, street refuse, industrial
refuse, dead animals, abandoned large machinery or vehicles, or other waste
materials not commonly produced in homes.
