It is unlawful for any person in the City of Brigantine to focus, point or shine a laser beam directly or indirectly onto another person in such a manner as to harass, annoy or injure said person.
It shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to sell or give away as a prize, gift or bonus a laser device to any person under the age of 18 years of age in the City of Brigantine.
If any state law is adopted which is contrary to any provisions of this chapter to the extent of any inconsistency, the state law shall govern and take precedence.
Nothing in this chapter shall make the use of laser devices illegal if used as part of a lawful business, profession or other lawful employment.
Any person guilty of a violation of this chapter may be subject up to a $1,000 fine, 90 days community service or up to 90 days in jail, all as determined in the discretion of the Municipal Court Judge.
