The following shall be departments for the Township:
A. 
Department of Administration.
B. 
Department of Law.
C. 
Department of Public Safety.
D. 
Department of Finance.
E. 
Department of Public Works.
F. 
Department of Community Affairs.
G. 
Department of Code Enforcement.

The following statutory agencies are allocated and assigned to the supervision of the Mayor or the Council, as the case may be, in accordance with which of them is the appointing authority:
A. 
Board of Adjustment.

B. 
Municipal Court. The Municipal Court as heretofore established and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1 et seq.) is continued and the Judge shall hereafter be appointed by the Mayor for a term of three years with the advice and consent of the Council.

C. 
Planning Board.

D. 
Library. The public library as heretofore established and empowered pursuant to law (N.J.S.A. 40:54-1 et seq.) is continued.
E. 
Alcoholic beverage control. The local issuing authority for purposes of alcoholic beverage control shall be the Council pursuant to N.J.S.A. 33:1-19.
Each department shall have such officers and employees, with such compensation and employment rights as shall be authorized by the Charter, this code or other ordinance.

The Municipal Court Clerk and Deputy Court Clerks shall be appointed, serve terms and be bonded as provided in Chapter 20, Court, Municipal.[1]
