To recover the cost of processing and collecting checks returned by
any payee's bank, a fee of $25 is hereby assessed on each returned check.
No fee, permit, tax, fine or other charge shall be deemed paid until the returned
check fee is paid along with the original charge. The Town Board may by resolution,
after a public hearing, amend the amount of the returned check fee to properly
reflect the actual cost to the Town of processing and collecting returned
checks.
