The Mayor appoints the Village Treasurer subject to the approval
of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees may expand the powers
and duties, and fix the salary of the Village Treasurer, whose term
of office shall be for two official years, and who shall exercise
the powers granted and the duties imposed by such Board notwithstanding
any provision of the Village Law to the contrary.
