It shall be the duty of the President to preside
at all meetings; to call special meetings when he/she shall deem it
for the interest of the Company, or written request of five members;
to appoint all committees not otherwise provided for, and to enforce
the bylaws. He/She shall not vote on any question, unless in the case
of a tie vote, except on election of officers and members, and where
a two-thirds vote is required. He/She shall sign all drafts on the
Treasury for money appropriated by the Company in excess of $300 and
for payment of all bills. If the President is unavailable to sign,
he shall call upon an authorized officer of the Executive Board to
sign in his place. All checks require two signatures by authorized
officers of the Executive Board.
It shall be the duty of the Vice President to
perform all the duties of the President during his/her absence.

It shall be the duty of the Treasurer/Financial
Secretary to collect all dues as set forth by the bylaws; to keep
a correct account of the receipts and disbursements, and to pay all
drafts ordered by the Company. He/she shall render a written report
of the financial condition of the Company at each annual meeting or
whenever requested to do so by the Company, and also submit his/her
account to the Auditing Committee upon request. Within five days after
the election of his/her successor, he/she shall deliver to him all
moneys, papers, books or other property in his/her possession belonging
to the Company. All checks require two signatures by authorized officers
of the Executive Board.
It shall be the duty of the Recording Secretary
to keep a correct roll of all fires, parades, drills and meetings
and note the names of absentees; to keep a true record of the proceedings
of every meeting in a book to be used for that purpose; to read the
minutes of the last regular or special meeting; and to keep on file
all documents relating to the business of the Company.
It shall be the duty of the Corresponding Secretary
to conduct all correspondence to the Company; to read all communications;
to notify members of regular or special meetings when ordered to do
so by the President or Chief; to notify every newly elected member
of his/her election, after his/her confirmation by the Trustees of
the Village, and supply him with a badge, key and copy of the bylaws;
and to advise, by registered mail, each delinquent member to appear
before the Executive Committee for any explanation that would justify
his/her continuance as an active member.
The Chaplain may attend all regular meetings
of the Company and perform such duties as may pertain to his/her office
as a Minister of the Gospel. He/she is requested to preach an annual
sermon to the members of the Company at his/her convenience.
It shall be the duty of the Chief to command
the Company, whenever on active duty, at fires, drills, parades and
at all other times except business meetings. The Chief shall have
full control at all fires, inspections and reviews and at the supervision
of the engines, hoses and other apparatus of the Company. He/she shall
order weekly drills at his/her discretion. He/she shall see that the
equipment is kept in proper order and shall assist in keeping the
same in proper order. He/she shall, whenever required, make a written
report of the condition of the equipment to the Village Trustees and
furnish such other information as the Village Trustees might request.

It shall be the duty of the Assistant Chiefs,
Captain, First Lieutenant and Second Lieutenant to perform the duties
of the Chief during his absence. This should be performed in order
of rank from First Assistant Chief, Second Assistant Chief, Captain,
First Lieutenant and Second Lieutenant.
