For the purposes of this chapter, the following
term shall have the meaning indicated:
DANCE HALL
Any place open to the general public where dancing is permitted.

Provisions, Art. II)]
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate
a dance hall in the Town unless such person has a permit to do so
issued by the Town Council. No permit shall be issued unless all the
requirements of this chapter are complied with. The permit fee shall
be established by the Town Council.
The Town Council shall revoke any permit issued
pursuant to this chapter if the permittee violates any of the provisions
of this chapter. The permittee shall be entitled to a hearing before
the Town Council prior to any action by the Town Council on the revocation
of such permit.
In every dance hall in the Town, there shall
be separate men's and ladies' restrooms.
The owner or operator of any dance hall in the
Town shall maintain good order and conduct at all times within his
dance hall.
In every dance hall within the Town, there shall
be sufficient containers for refuse both inside and outside the hall,
and all refuse in the immediate vicinity shall be placed in such containers
after each dance.
In every dance hall in the Town, fire extinguishers
shall be readily accessible at all times. Fire exit doors shall be
clearly marked and shall be unobstructed during the hours of operation
as a dance hall, and fire exits shall be safe and illuminated on the
outside.
For every dance hall in the Town, there shall
be adequate parking space with attendants on duty to assist in parking
cars and to prevent the rifling through of cars.
No permit shall be issued pursuant to the provisions
of this chapter until the Health Officer has approved the sanitary
facilities and until the County Fire Marshal has approved the fire
prevention measures.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate
or conduct a public dance hall within the corporate limits of the
Town on any Sunday or between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
on any weekday.
Any person convicted of a violation of any provision
of this chapter, in addition to having his permit revoked, shall be
punished by a fine of not more than $500.
