Right-of-way or easement acquisition. The developer shall be responsible for acquisition of necessary right-of-way or easements required for a project including service to adjoining properties. The County may provide assistance for obtaining adequate right-of-way or easements. The width of the right-of-way or easement will be approved by the Public Works Director.
B.
Reference points. The location of the reference points of a project shall be identified to the contractor in the field, together with a location map by the design engineer.
C.
Project layout. The contractor will be responsible for the layout of the work and will protect and preserve the established reference points and will make no changes or relocations without the prior written approval of the Public Works Director.
D.
Sewer layout. Sewer pipe will be laid to grade as specified on the approved construction drawings. The stakeout level surveying can be made by qualified persons with three years' experience, and pipe center line transit surveying should be performed by a licensed surveyor in the State of Delaware. The spacing of the cut stakes and the placement of batterboards or other grade control devices should be subject to the approval of the inspector of the County. Cut sheets should be supplied to the County for all stakeouts.
