It shall be the duty of the Chief of the Fire Department to investigate
and to recommend to the City Council such additional ordinances, or amendments
to existing ordinances, as the Chief may deem necessary for safeguarding life
and property against fire.
The Chief of the Fire Department shall prepare instructions for the
Chief Inspector and assistants and forms for their use in the reports required
by this chapter.
The City Attorney, upon request of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, shall
assist the Bureau in the investigation of any fire which, in its opinion,
is of suspicious origin.
