In cases of practical difficulty or unnecessary hardship, the Electrical
Inspection Authority is hereby granted discretionary powers to permit deviation

is first submitted in writing for proper determination in order that safety
requirements, as they pertain to electrical equipment, shall be obtained.
A detailed set of plans and specifications shall be submitted with the
application for a building permit for any wiring or alterations to the electrical
system, including the fire alarm system, in all buildings using over six circuits

when approving electrical plans, assumes no responsibility for the design
nor any deviations from any applicable codes not explicitly agreed upon at
the time of approval of electrical drawings. Approval of drawings during plan
review are subject to subsequent approval during field inspection on the job
site by the Electrical Inspector.
A request for electrical inspection shall be made at least 24 hours
prior to the needed inspection.

equipment before it has been approved by the Electrical Inspector.
A plan approved by the Electrical Inspection Authority or a certified
copy thereof, where required, shall be available for the use of the Electrical
Inspector as long as construction is in progress under the permit related
to the plans.

licensed representative of the contractor to be on the job site when inspection
is made. A licensed electrical journeyman or master electrician shall be present
at all times that electrical construction is in progress. A licensed fire
alarm specialty technician shall be present at all times that fire alarm system

the permit was issued shall be honored only after the installation has been
tested with current on the wires and all electrical equipment permanently
installed. In the case of fire alarm systems, the supervision and function
of the system shall be inspected and approved by the Electrical Inspector
before a certificate may be issued.
