GENERAL REFERENCES
Pool and billiard parlors — See Ch. 244.
No coin-operated pinball machine, bagatelle, pool table, billiard table, bowling alley, kiddy rides, jukebox or other coin-operated amusement or entertainment machine or device shall be installed, operated or maintained in any public or quasi-public place or in any building, store or other place where the public is invited or wherein the public may enter unless the proprietor of the premises shall have first obtained a license for said machine or device from the Clerk of the Borough of Eatontown, as herein provided.
The application for said license, accompanied by the license fee hereafter specified, shall be made to the Clerk of the Borough of Eatontown on forms to be provided and shall set forth:
A. 
The name, address and occupation of the applicant.
B. 
The place where the machine or device is to be displayed or operated and the business conducted at that place.
C. 
The description of the machine or device to be licensed to include manufacturer, model number, serial number and year of manufacture.

All licenses shall expire on December 31 of each year and must be renewed within 30 days of said date. Applicants for renewal of licenses need not repeat answers in applications previously submitted unless such answer would be different from the original application. The fee for the issuance of a license shall be $40 per machine or device for said calendar year or any part thereof for each and any machine as so licensed. Any vendor who fails to renew its license on or before January 31 shall be charged a late fee in the amount of $25 per machine.
All machines or devices licensed pursuant to this chapter shall have displayed thereon in a prominent place the license so issued.
If the licensee desires to remove said licensed machine or device to premises other than those set forth in the application for said license, the licensee shall give written notice of such proposed move to the Clerk of the Borough of Eatontown prior to such move.

This chapter is enacted for the purpose of regulating, controlling and providing safety inspections of coin-operated pinball machines, bagatelles, pool tables, bowling alleys, jukeboxes and all other coin-operated amusement or entertainment machines or devices.

Any person or persons, firm, association, club or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not exceeding $1,250, a term of imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or any combination thereof.
