All those lands owned, leased or rented, including any portion that may hereafter be acquired, leased or rented, by the Borough of Eatontown contained within the following areas and now or hereafter marked for public parking be and the same are hereby opened for public parking subject to the rules and regulations herein:
A. 
The parking area within the block bounded by Throckmorton Avenue, Main Street and White Street.
B. 
The parking area within the block bounded by Lewis Street, the Broad Street extension and Main Street.
C. 
The parking area north of Throckmorton Avenue, east of Main Street and south of Wampum Brook.
D. 
The parking area adjacent to the Eatontown Community Center located at 68 Broad Street.

A. 
The outlets on Lewis Street and Broad Street are hereby designated as both entrances and exits, and all vehicles shall keep to the right in the direction traveling.
B. 
Vehicles shall be permitted to enter the East Parking Lot from Broad Street and prohibited from exiting the East Parking Lot onto Broad Street.
No person shall be permitted to, when posted, park or permit any motor vehicle to remain parked in said parking area continuously for more than eight hours, unless otherwise posted. Any vehicle parked for a continuous period of eight hours, unless otherwise posted, shall constitute a violation of this chapter. No person shall be permitted to park or permit any motor vehicle to remain parked in said parking area continuously for more than the number of hours posted for any designated parking space.

A. 
In the public parking lot identified in § 227-1B, commonly called the "West Lot," all parking shall be limited in duration to two hours of continuous parking.
B. 
In the public parking lot identified in § 227-1A, commonly called the "East Lot," parking shall be limited in duration as follows:
(1) 
Two-hour limit of continuous parking for the 11 spaces running from the westerly Broad Street entrance north in the westerly most parking row.
(2) 
Two parking spaces shall be designated for handicapped parking and those spaces shall be the 12th parking spaces (consisting of a double row) running from the westerly Broad Street entrance north in the westerly most parking row.
(3) 
One-hour limit of continuous parking for the double row of seven parking spaces being the 13th through 19th parking spaces running from the westerly Broad Street entrance north in the westerly most parking row.
(4) 
One-hour limit of continuous parking for the five spaces running from the westerly Broad Street entrance north in the east parking row.
(5) 
Two-hour limit of continuous parking for the sixth through 11th spaces running from the westerly Broad Street entrance north in the east parking row.
(6) 
Two-hour limit of continuous parking for the three rows of parking spaces in the northwest section of the parking lot fronting on Throckmorton Avenue.

A. 
All places in which vehicles may be parked shall be designated by two parallel diagonal white lines or by two parallel white lines divided into separate spaces with right-angle white division lines. No vehicles shall park in any other place in the said area, and such prohibited parking by any person shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
B. 
Where spaces are x-ed in yellow and marked by parallel yellow lines, these spaces shall be designated for "Police Vehicles Only" and shall not be for the use of the general public at any time.
All vehicles shall park within the white lines designated for each separate parking space, and any person parking a vehicle over any dividing line or parking any vehicle beyond the end of such parking lines shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter.

In cases of congested parking or should the Borough deem it necessary, the Borough Council may detail a police officer or an attendant or other person to direct traffic in said parking area, and all persons shall observe the directions of such person so directing traffic. Certain parking spaces immediately behind the Borough Hall shall be reserved exclusively for parking by Borough officials and employees. Any person refusing or failing to obey such direction shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter.
No person shall tamper with, enter upon, damage or deface any vehicle placed in such parking area, which vehicle is not owned by such person or in the possession or control of such person, and such act shall be a violation of this chapter.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of not more than $50 or be confined in the county jail for a period of not more than 10 days.
