Each and every owner of poles used for the purpose
of stringing or supporting cables or wires for the transmission of
electricity is hereby directed and required to immediately paint,
stencil or affix his or its name upon each and every one of such poles,
in letters not less than one inch in height, and thereafter to keep
and maintain the same in a legible condition.

Any such owner failing to comply with the provisions
of this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall incur a
fine not to exceed $1,000.
