As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
GARAGE SALE
The sale or offering for sale of five or more new, used or secondhand items of personal property, household goods or clothing at any one residential premises, which are displayed in the garage, yard or porch; also known as a yard, porch, lawn or rummage sale.
RESIDENTIAL PREMISES
Any home, dwelling unit or apartment located in the RS-7, RS-5, RT-4, RM-4, CO or CBD Zoning District.
Garage sale, are permitted when:
A. 
Such activity is for a period not exceeding three consecutive days and occurs not more than two times in any calendar year.
B. 
A valid garage sale permit is displayed on the property.
A. 
Upon application, the Code enforcement Officer shall issue a permit for a garage sale. There shall be no fee for the permit.
B. 
The application shall:
(1) 
State the location of the garage sale.
(2) 
State the name, address and phone number of the property owner and the applicant.
(3) 
State the dates of the garage sale and the expiration date of the permit.
